2 HDPE pipes are more sensitive to thermal stability.
The compressive strength of PE pipes will decrease at higher temperatures; too low a temperature will cause them to become brittle. Therefore, the current PE pipe generally uses a pressure of 0.1 to 0.4 Mpa. Since PE pipes are easy to oxidize, bend, and are sensitive to temperature, there are certain requirements for the storage, handling, Transport, storage period, and construction of pipes. There are many PE pipe construction equipment and they are highly dependent on construction equipment; they have high requirements for the external environment, and it is inconvenient to construct in cold weather and windy and rainy environments, and protective measures must be taken.
3. HDPE pipes are not conductive
This brings great inconvenience to the detection and positioning of PE pipelines. In view of this, the completion data must be strictly reviewed in the project, and it is imperative to ensure that the drawings are consistent with the actual situation; after the pipeline is put into operation, if the construction near the pipeline changes, the original completion drawings must be updated in time to ensure that the exact information of the underground natural gas pipeline can be grasped in time, thereby laying a good foundation for the operation and management of the pipeline.
4. The matching problem of HDPE pipe fittings
Due to the limitation of the chemical properties of PE pipes, it cannot be used on the ground (it cannot be used as an open pipe), and the PE water well is large in size, which is inconvenient to construct in the community pipe network matching. PE pipe fittings are expensive.
